Despite enormous success and change, York is a center that has lost none of its memorable charm. It is hard to believe that, following an English rebellion against the Normans after the exalted fight of Hastings, a survey in 1086 recorded the north as a wasteland. It took generations for the area to recover and present, no componental of Yorkshire could possibly be referred to as wasteland. Numerous castles and abbeys may lay in ruin, but even these ruins are objects of unsurpassable beauty and attract just as legions globetrotters as do the immense number of quaint shops and award-winning restaurants found in the urban place.
The Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington, York is based on the former WWII Bomber Command Station of RAF Elvington and retains the authentic atmosphere of the period, with multitudinous fascinating exhibits housed in restored wartime architecture. The museum is a unique memorial to all the Allied aircrews of Bomber Command, including French, Canadian, Australian, etc. Don’t miss the battle of Britain Service on the 14th September, Remembrance Sunday on the 9th November or Santa’s Plane in December! The Museum is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm (3.30 pm in winter) and admission starts from just ?3 for children under 15.
A trip to Yorkshire wouldn’t be complete without a go to see to Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Water Garden. Explore the amazing ruins of the greater complete Cistercian abbeys in Britain and determine for yourself the life of a antiquated monk. Wander from the dramatic Abbey into the Georgian diversion grounds of Studley Royal’s ornamental gardens, woodland and deer park. Stroll at the side of reflections of temples in elegant formal canals and lakes and uncover the follies high on the valley side. Look out for Anne Boleyn’s seat, the Octagon Tower and the Temples of Fame and Piety. A impregnated programme of family activities and events is available through the year, including storytelling, guided tours, open air theatre and want dress parades. There is also a play area, workshops, tea-room and gift shop.
There is no shortage of High Street stores and shopping centres in York, but if you are after something a little divergent, a trip to the popular Mouseman middle in Kilburn might be just what you are searching for. The magnificently restored village joiner’s shop is crammed burdened of unusual furniture and smaller items these as breadboards, judge’s gavels and serviette holders, larger of which carry an adorable hand-carved mouse in some shape or form. The Pickering Antique middle is another treasure trove for collectors. Over 45 dealers sell a wide range of goods including paintings, furniture, china and porcelain, brass and copperware, postcards, books, clocks and bygone toys. Admission is free and opening times are Monday to Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, Sunday 11 am to 5 pm.
If you are concerned about parking problems or traffic jams in the city centre, why not consider using one of the legions Park & Ride scenes that York has to offer – Rawcliffe bar (Clifton Moor), Monks Cross (Huntington), Grimston pub (Hull Road), Askham bar (Tadcaster Road) or McArthur Glen Designer Outlet. The seaside place of Scarborough also has multitudinous Park & Ride opportunities and promotes high fine buses operating every 12 minutes to the seafront and town centre in less than 15 minutes.
York is the perfect conurbation for young and old alike and there are more than enough inclination to gratify the whole family. In the places and villages, independent retailers sit alongside galleries displaying arts and crafts of those inspired by the attractive countryside, while welcoming pubs with roaring fires and local ale are found on every corner.

Tenerife, the largest of the seven Canary Islands is a popular destination, chosen for its beautiful beaches and all year round warm weather with an average mid twenty degrees Celsius. Tenerife is a fantastic place to visit for those who enjoy the sun but don’t want it to be unbearable hot. The climate of Tenerife is possible because of the winds coming in from the ocean. The cold sea currents from the Canary Islands also have an affect on the temperature on the island.

There are a number of tourist attractions worth visiting. You of course have the gorgeous beaches; choose any as there isn’t any area that you should avoid. The volcano is an amazing sight in itself towering to 12,000 feet.

There are the wonderful botanical gardens at Puerto de la Cruz which dates back to 1788 as a rival to Kew Gardens. If you plants and trees are your thing or you just enjoy a nice interesting walk this place will keep you entertained for hours with something form all over the world. Loro Park features the largest number of parrots in the world.

If you are British and aren’t the adventurous type Playa de las Americas would be the place for you. Here you will find home favourites from fish and chips to pubs and clubs. There is a long promenade for pedestrians only here where the only thing to get in your way will be locals trying to sell you the usual tourist items.

To really make the most of your Tenerife holiday you must go on one of the harbour trips. Glass bottom boats let you explore the bottom of the beautiful ocean floor. If you want to get closer to nature diving excursions are available letting you get up close and personal with the plant and sea life. If you prefer to stay in the boat the friendly dolphins will usual come to visit the boat.

Los Christianos is one of most popular resorts of any of the Canary Islands. It isn’t quite as taken over by the English style, its more traditional and a quieter holiday experience.

Suppose you are planning to get married, and you are living in the United States, Canada or Europe. Consider getting married in Acapulco, Mexico’s “Pearl of the Pacific.” Elizabeth Taylor did it. So have many other celebrities since then. And each year many other romantic couples do the same.

One of the best parts of having an Acapulco wedding is that as soon as the ceremony is over, you are already on your honeymoon!

What makes Acapulco the perfect wedding location? Few other places in the world have such beautiful waters, framed by mountains that descend dramatically down to the sea. Acapulco’s natural bay is unlike any other. The weather is reliably gorgeous, the people are warm and welcoming, and everything is just a few hours’ plane ride from most points of departure in North America.

Think about exchanging vows right at the water’s edge – on the beach itself – surrounded by natural beauty. Acapulco has scores of perfect beach settings for such nuptials – large, small, formal, informal, morning, afternoon or evening. Another option is to wed under a bower in one of the elegant, tropical gardens of the city’s many resort hotels. Religious ceremonies can be planned for any one of Acapulco’s several beautiful churches.

The Easy Way to Do It.

No matter where you might imagine tying the knot – on the beach, in a garden or in a church – you will need to take care of certain unavoidable details. They include the legal requirements, flowers, music, officiant, reception, lodging, bachelor and bachelorette parties, rehearsal dinner, and other activities for the wedding party.

The easiest way to handle all of this is to place it all with a trained wedding planner, one who wither works in or with Acapulco’s resorts. Some people think that this option might cost substantially more than a “do-it-yourself” alternative. Others may be reluctant to surrender control over the wedding plan to someone they don’t know.

In truth, a good wedding planner should save at least as much money as he or she costs. If you plan to stay at a resort hotel with the wedding party, the hotel itself will provide great nuptial packages, with discounts on many services. Some details– like transport to and from the civil registry – can be handled more efficiently and cheaply by the hotel than by you directly.

This is not to say that wedding planners always find bargains. In Mexico it is probable that the concierge/wedding planner is offered a kickback for recommending certain outside services, like photographers, florists or musicians. Though some resorts try to prevent this practice, it is very hard to control. But even with some “flex” in the prices, they are still probably a good bit lower than anything you could negotiate for yourself. With the resort there is the prospect of repeat business. That is not true with you.

The other cost savings comes from experience. Presumably you do not plan to have more than one Acapulco wedding in your life. The wedding planner may handle several dozen in a year. Touches that to you may seem marvelous may, through the lens of experience, be seen as more trouble or expense than they are worth.

If the catering is provided by an Acapulco resort, the charges will be based on the number of people expected. There will be enough of everything for everyone, and – unlike a do-it-yourself affair — you do not have to overbuy, just to be safe, and then wind up paying for things you did not use.

Wedding planners are aware that many couples do not have a ton of money to spend on the wedding ceremony and hospitality. They are accustomed to working within a budget. And in Acapulco, the budget can stretch much farther than elsewhere in North America or in Europe. For example, Acapulco’s tropical climate makes it possible to buy incredible flowers for the wedding at a small fraction of what they cost in colder climates.

Another benefit of working with a wedding planner is having a more realistic sense about when things start and how long they take. Time in Acapulco is more elastic than in the English-speaking world. Nothing should be programmed too tightly.

If you are worried that a wedding planner will take over everything and deprive you of the fun (and the design prerogative) of planning your own wedding, you just need to engage in a careful search for the person whose approach is most harmonious with yours. Avoid those who seem to have a “one-size-fits-all” approach. They are not creative, they do not listen to their clients, and they are mainly concerned with meeting sales goals. Fortunately, they are a small minority. Most resorts are aware that brides may choose the location for the wedding (and hence the lodging and catering) based on how well she relates to the wedding planner on staff. They train and encourage their people to suggest, but not impose, to guide, but not lead. Some resorts can proudly point to many couples that come back every year for a vacation because their wedding was such a success.

Next to selecting the wedding planner with great care, the second most important tip for having a memorable and beautiful Acapulco wedding is to give the planner – and yourselves – more than enough time for making the plan work well. Some things simply can not be accomplished on the spur of the moment. When you think of all the things that have to come together at once – travel arrangements, lodging, catering, and official paperwork – it is just common sense to start many months in advance if at all possible. The best idea is to make a special trip to interview wedding planners and meet personally with the one you select, to get everything off to a good start.

The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran (13)

This is the 13th article of the series:” The Sons of the Lord God in Bible versus Quran”.

The Bible says that Jesus gave authority to those who believed in his name to become sons of God; they are children who were not born of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God; of God (the Almighty Creator) they were begotten.

On the other hand, the Noble Quran says that Allah (the Almighty Creator) has no sons. Also, the Quran declares that Jesus said: Allah is my Lord and I am a servant and I am not a god. In addition, the Quran declares that it is an unforgivable sin when you say or believe that the Almighty Creator has a son or sons; this major sin will lead to the Eternal Fire in the Hereafter.

On the other hand, the Noble Quran says that John, the son of the prophet Zachariah, was a great prophet; he was born in a miraculous way; and both John and Jesus were great prophets; and both were born in a miraculous way.

——————————————————————–

The Sons of the Lord God in the Bible (13)

The Bible (John 1:6-13) says that Jesus gave authority to those who believed in his name to become sons of God; they are children who were not born of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God; of God (the Almighty Creator) they were begotten.

——————————————–

John 1:6-13 in four different versions of the Bible:

New International Version

6There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John.

7He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe.

8He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

9The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

10He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—13children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

New American Standard Bible

6There came a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him.

8He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light.

9There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man.

10He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.

11He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him.

12But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,

13who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

King James Version

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

English Standard Version

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him.

8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

9The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.

10He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.

11He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.

12But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

The Sons of the Lord God in the Quran (13)

In the quoted verses herein, Jesus said 1) O Children of Israel worship Allah and declare His divine Oneness, 2) Allah is my Lord and He is your Lord, I am a servant and I am not a god. 3) Lo! Whoso ascribes partners or son(s) unto Allah and dies in this state, for him Allah has forbidden Paradise. His abode, his end result is the Eternal Fire and 4) and for the wrongdoers, there shall be no helpers to guard them against the chastisement of God.

These were four statements of the Lord Jesus, the great Prophet which Allah has sent to the children of Israel.

The Noble Quran makes the topic of the son(s) of God very clear and says that Allah, the Almighty Creator, has neither a son nor a partner.

The Quran decisively forbids saying and/or believing that Allah has a son(s).

It is not befitting for the Majesty of Allah to take to Himself a son.

Allah is exalted, magnified; He is above what they associate with Him of son or partners. Allah is far transcendent above all that they ascribe unto Him!

In Islam, this point is very important faith wise.

From the Islamic point of view, the conclusion of this essential topic that may establish or destroy the faith is that:

Any one who believe that the Almighty Creator has a son or sons; he messes his faith up and is considered as a disbeliever and in the afterlife he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the Eternal hell.

Any one who believes that the Almighty Creator has no son or partner, he has a good faith and is considered as a believer; and in the afterlife, he will end up as an eternal inhabitant of the Eternal Paradise.

Verses 5:17 and 5:72 make the topic of the son(s) of God plain, clear and understandable.

——————————————–

The meanings of verses 5:17 and 5:72:

The meanings of verse 5:17

They indeed are disbelievers those who say, ‘Allah (God) is the Christ Jesus, the son of Mary’, insofar as they make him a god.

Say to them O Muhammad: ‘Who then can do aught against Allah, who can save from Allah’s punishment, who then can defend, against, the chastisement of, Allah (God) if He desires, if He had willed to destroy, to punish the Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, and his mother, and all those who are on earth and everyone on earth who worshipped Jesus?

That is to say, none can do anything of the sort, since if Jesus was a god, he would be able to do so.

This form of interrogation is to declare that Jesus is not a god and Allah is the only one God who can do everything as He wills.

Allah’s is the Sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, to Him belong the kingdom and the stores of the heavens and earth and all that is between them of created things and marvels.

He creates what He wills as He wills, He can create a man whether a father exists or not.

And Allah is Able to do all things, in terms of creating created beings, rewarding His allies and punishing His enemies; He has power over everything, which He wills.

The meanings of verse 5:72

They surely disbelieve who say: Indeed! Allah (God) is the Christ Jesus, the son of Mary.

For Jesus (himself) said (the followings):

1) O Children of Israel worship Allah, declare Allah’s divine Oneness,

2) Allah is my Lord and He is your Lord, I am a servant and I am not a god.

3) Lo! Whoso ascribes partners or son(s) unto Allah and dies in this state, for him Allah has forbidden Paradise. His abode, his end result is the Eternal Fire.

In other words, Jesus said: Verily he who associates anything with God, in worship, for him God has made Paradise forbidden, He has forbidden him admittance to it, and his abode shall be the Fire.

4) For evil-doers, idolaters, and disbelievers there will be no helpers to save them from what is intended for them.

In other words, Jesus said: and for wrongdoers there shall be no helpers to guard them against the chastisement of Allah.

——————————————-

Verses 5:17 and 5:72 of the Noble Quran in four different translations:

Verse 5:17

QARIB: those who say that Allah is the Christ, son of Mary are indeed those who disbelieved. Say: ‘who then could prevent any thing from Allah, if he willed to destroy the Christ, son of Mary, together with his mother and all the people of the earth? For Allah is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them. He creates what he will and has power over all things. ‘

SHAKIR: certainly they disbelieve who say: surely, Allah– he is the Christ, son of Marium. Say: who then could control anything as against Allah when he wished to destroy the Christ son of Marium and his mother and all those on the earth? And Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and what is between them; he creates what he pleases; and Allah has power over all things,

PICKTHAL: they indeed have disbelieved who say: lo! Allah is the Christ, son of Mary. Say: who then can do aught against Allah, if he had willed to destroy the Christ son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth? Allah’s is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He createth what he will. and Allah is able to do all things.

YUSUFALI: in blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. say: “who then hath the least power against Allah, if his will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every – one that is on the earth? for to Allah belongeth the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. he createth what he pleaseth. For Allah hath power over all things.”

——————————————-

Verse 5:72

QARIB: the unbelievers are those who say: ‘Allah is the Christ, the son of Mary. ‘But the Christ said: ‘children of Israel worship Allah, my lord and your lord. ‘He who associates anything with Allah, Allah has indeed forbidden paradise to him, and his abode shall be in the fire. The harmdoers shall have no helpers.

SHAKIR: certainly they disbelieve who say: surely Allah, he is the Christ, son of Marium; and the Christ said: o children of Israel! Serve Allah, my lord and your lord. Surely whoever associates (others) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden to him the garden, and his abode is the fire; and there shall be no helpers for the unjust

PICKTHAL: they surely disbelieve who say: lo! Allah is the Christ, son of Mary. the Christ (himself) said: o children of Israel, worship Allah, my lord and your lord. lo! Whoso ascribeth partners unto Allah, for him Allah hath forbidden paradise. his abode is the fire. for evil-doers there will be no helpers.

YUSUFALI: they do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” but said Christ: “o children of Israel! Worship Allah, my lord and your lord.” whoever joins other gods with Allah, – Allah will forbid him the garden, and the fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

Colorado Springs is the home of Pike’s Peak and has many attractions. It is a very cultural centered community. It was founded in 1871 by General William Jackson Palmer and he wanted to build a high quality resort. In the beginning Colorado Springs was called “Little “London” because so many English tourists came to the area. You can visit the 18th century castle, the Glen Eyrie, which was General Palmer’s original home.
Colorado Springs developed into a major city because of the major gold rush in nearby Cripple Creek. Spencer Penrose who struck it rich at Cripple Creek went on to finance the Broadmoor Hotel, the Pikes Peak Highway and the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
The US Olympic Training Center is located in Colorado Springs and is the headquarters for US Olympic Committee. There are free tours given daily that give visitors an opportunity to view where the US Olympic athletes train. There is also a sculpture garden and an Olympic Flame display.
If you would like to take a scenic tour of the surrounding area you can take a historic two hour tour on the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. You will be able to see the Royal Gorge Bridge and the Rio Grande. This is a great way to take in the natural beauty surrounding Colorado Springs.
There are many natural wonders to see around Colorado Springs. You can visit the Cave of the Winds. These caves have been there for thousands of years and remain a constant 54 degrees. You can choose how you would like to explore the caves. You can take a leisurely walking tour or you can have an adventure and go deep within the caves with a helmet and headlamp.
At the Garden of the Gods you can experience this amazing area by horseback, hiking or driving. There are over 1,300 acres of awe inspiring red rock formation, wildlife, and unusual plants. It is said that this area was once inhabited by Indians who named the formations and the rocks for spiritual and social reasons.
You can experience the culture of the Anasazi Indians who lived here between 1100 and 1300 AD at the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. There is a three story Pueblo structure that is built right into the cliffs. You can also walk through exhibits showing the life of this tribe. In the summer months you can also see Native American dances.
The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo was founded in 1926 and started out as a private collection of exotic animals. In 1938 it was given to the people of Colorado Springs. There are over 650 animals which includes 30 species that are endangered. They have a world renowned giraffe herd that can be seen in the African Rift Valley Exhibit. There are many rare and exotic animals to see here and will be enjoyed by all.
Colorado Springs is a beautiful place to come to relax and enjoy the magnificent surroundings. There are many outdoors activities as well as indoor attractions to visit. You will fall in love with this area and will want to return again and again.

Visiting Bangkok’s red light districts for the first time could induce a real serious case of lock jaw and whiplash as beautiful Thai bar girls prance and dance all around you. It can be quite intimidating when you step out the door of your hotel and dive deep into the pool of sex, booze and sin known as Bangkok’s red light districts.

Bangkok has 3 major red light districts designed to keep foreign men entertained while spending money. The first and foremost for every first timer to Bangkok is Patpong, the place where the go go bar culture sprang forth. Then we have the red light districts of Nana and Soi Cowboy, the slightly raunchier and sleazier havens for sex.

The red light district of Patpong comprises of several small lanes and streets with a mixture of go go bars for straights, gay bars for gays and lesbians and even a sliver of road called Thaniya created especially for high paying Japanese customers. Most of Patpong’s action happens on Patpong1 and Patpong 2, both streets run parallel to each other.

Nana red light district is where you can find a lot of Thai freelancer hang out spots such as the parking lot of the Nana hotel or along the beer gardens on Sukhumvit Soi 4 and Soi 7. But Nana’s red light district is centered around Nana Entertainment Plaza, a small 3 story complex with an open center for beer bars.

Finally there’s Soi Cowboy, the smallest red light district but certainly the most wicked. Here you can find long standing and popular go go bars such as Long Gun, Cowboys and Rawhide. Though Soi Cowboy’s prices for drinks and adultainment are a bit higher, it’s early evening happy hours is a great way to start of the the night.

One thing you should always remember as a first timer in a go go bar is to not to tell a bar girl it’s your first time in Bangkok. Bar girls will assume you don’t know the rates they charge and will double the prices for their services.

When it comes to the language barrier in Bangkok’s red light districts most will have someone who can speak English, such as a Mamasan or Papasan. They kind of act like managers and work to make sure you have a good time. Most bar girls can speak English too. But this means they’ve been well worn around the edges and been in the go go bar scene for quite some time.

Getting to Bangkok’s red light districts is really easy especially when you use the BTS train systems. These trains run on elevated tracks above the traffic packed streets of Bangkok’s commercial zone. The fares are cheap and the train compartments are nice and chilly from a hot Bangkok day.
